Our 
Story

Kevin McElroy is the founder & lead facilitator for CONSTRUCTIVE LEADERSHIP and is passionate about supporting leaders & managers in third & public sector organisations across Scotland to optimise performance & wellbeing by focusing on aligning STRATEGY; leadership STYLE; group CULTURE & individual MINDSETS.

Kevin has a successful track record working in senior management & leadership roles supporting major retailers including B&Q, John Lewis and Dobbies Garden Centres to improve performance & employee wellbeing locally, regionally & nationally. More recently Kevin has applied CONSTRUCTIVE LEADERSHIP principles to successfully support Scottish based charitable organisations, social enterprises and public sector organisations including the National Trust for Scotland, The Brock (Broxburn), the One World Shop (Edinburgh) Alternatives (Dumbarton) & Fife Cultural Enterprise to optimise performance & wellbeing.

The CONSTRUCTIVE LEADERSHIP developmental model is underpinned by compelling evidence from cutting edge research in the fields of Applied Psychology & Neuroscience, and by real life & lived experience gained in varied & diverse working environments across multiple sectors.

Kevin's educational and professional qualifications to date include a masters degree in performance psychology (University of Edinburgh, 2015); an honours degree in psychology (Open University, 2014); Myers Briggs Type Indicator Practitioner (2014); Institute of Leadership & Management Certificate (2014); IOSH Safety for Senior Executives Certificate (2013). Kevin is also a member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS) and uses his membership there for his own continuous professional development and to keep up to date with any significant developments or advances in the worlds of psychology, leadership, performance & wellbeing.
